'LOVE IS'
23.75 X 35.75", acrylic on canvas, 1988?
Well, this may be the oldest painting of mine, painted on canvas (which I abandoned after two paintings on canvas, I like the wood) shortly after I purchased the Graham Peacock and then bought painting supplies. One of my doodles made big. What followed were many 'text' paintings of which most have been destroyed, not because I didn't like them but many were 4 x 4' square and I didn't have the storage space available and moving them all time started to damage the paintings. One painting was 4 x 8', but alas no space.
'LOVE IS' & 'DON'T TALK, DO' & 'BEND' was the gist of most of them. Sold some, destroyed the rest.

We get so close, so entangled; and then break up. Great.
Lovers are so entwined; and then their excuses are too.
‘pink love’
‘pink love’, 24 x 24”, acrylic on wood, .06.24.09
Not an homage to Robert Indiana (though I see how it may appear so), just a font/design I made while doodling that has become an recurring theme in my work.

Well I’m far from perfect but only this painting is all my fault…
